Für die Fragesteller mit dem Fahrradständer:
Ja, der Adapter schafft - zumindest bei mir - ausreichend Luft, dass der Ständer nicht der Kupplung im Weg ist und sich auch noch benutzen lässt.
Außerdem ist er wichtig, damit genug Gewinde greift für die Kupplung.

Dass der Preis eine Frechheit ist, wurde ja schon von vielen geschrieben.

Tut was es soll - in unserem Fall den Thule-Anhänger an ein Rad mit einer Shimano Alfine 11-G und integriertem Ständer im Ausfallende verbinden. Der Preis ist im Grunde unverschämt, daher nur 3 Sterne, sonst gerne 5. "Gleiche" Teile kosten im Baumarkt weniger als 2 EUR, leider haben sie jedoch kein Gewinde geeignet für Fahrräder. Damit bleibt nur das Teil von Thule...
