No CSA Rating (Green Triangle) - For DIYers and US Contractors.

I should preface I purchased these and without even inspecting them, I wore them to work and failed a safety inspection as they didn't have CSA rating. (Canadian Standards Association rating, required in Canadian workplaces that demand safety boots) Thankfully, Amazon took the boots back through their awesome return policy. However, it is really crappy that they're selling the American version of the boots on the Canadian website when even Timberland doesn't sell any non-CSA boots in Canada. I've literally bought the 8" Boondock model on Amazon years ago and thankfully that was the Canadian version-- blind faith let me down this time.

Pros:

- Very comfortable for DIYer environments.
- Having used the Canadian CSA version of these boots in the 8" version previously, very effective against workplace hazards. (I've dropped doors, toilets, vanities and more on my toe with the previous model)
- Very well insulated. Great during winters, hot during summers.

Cons:

- To reiterate, these are the American version and not CSA approved or labelled. If you work in a professional construction, warehouse or environment that requires safety boots within Canada, they will require CSA approval (the green triangle logo). Note that in all cases where CSA is required, you will NOT receive insurance coverage if you wear these and encounter an incident.

- Not recommended for warm environments due to the added insulation.

These do not have the certification markings, and therefor are useless on any job site in Canada. I had to send them back. I was able to find the exact same boot elsewhere with the certifications and they are an awesome boot, I would highly recommend. They do fit the right length, but roomy. You will end up having to get really thick insoles to make them snug.

It's my second pair of these boots. I normally get Dakota boots have gotten these boots for over 2 decades.
Tried the Timberland Pro and I will never go back. These boots are so comfortable. Even after a full shift as a carpenter I get home and walk my dog with these boots.
I highly recommend them.

The 2 most important traits in a work boot are comfort and durability. This has both. Been using timberlands (their low and mid tier models) for years, all were comfortable, but not very durable. You'd have to splurge more for the top tier models like these hoping to get years of use out of them. Which I'm hoping they will.

Quite comfortable from day one, virtually no break-in time. I did however had to do a slight modification for both boots. The stretch fold material on the inside of the boot tongue (don't know what the term is) were too big/excessive and had to be trimmed because they were chaffing against my inner front ankles, causing an undesirable pressure point when walking. The modification does not in any way compromise any of the safety functions in any way, it is just excess material that doesn't need to be there. Now it is all good!

These boots are awesome. I’ve been using timberland since 2010 and they have always been comfortable and durable. I had the old 6 inch pros, I’ve had the 8 inch boondocks they ended up wearing out at the ankle above the heel but these 6 inch boondocks have outlast every other pair I’ve ever gotten and my last brown pair is still
In decent shape. Only reason I needed new ones is because the grips were worn out after three years of use. This new 6 inch black pair I picked up though is awesome.
