Nancy Straight is an author of impossible love stories, but doesn't every great love story sound impossible until you experience it?
Nancy grew up in Iowa. She spent ten years traveling the world with the US Marine Corps, and settled in rural South Carolina with her family. She has a undergraduate degree in education and an advanced degree in management, but her true passion lies in surprising readers with her unpredictable plot twists.
Contemporary romance becomes Paranormal Romance when her characters become intertwined with fables based in Greek Mythology in her Touched Series. Readers learn that not even a pesky shape-shifting demon can come between the true love of soul mates in her Destiny Series.
Nancy loves hearing from readers! You can find her on twitter, facebook, or email her on her website. She responds to every message she receives.
A native of Southern California, USA Today bestselling author Christine Pope has been writing stories ever since she commandeered her family’s Smith-Corona typewriter back in grade school. Because she's a lover of many genres, her books include paranormal romance, fantasy romance, and paranormal cozy mystery. She blames this on being easily distracted by bright, shiny objects, which could also account for the size of her shoe collection. The Land of Enchantment cast its spell on her while she was researching her Djinn Wars series, and she now makes her home in New Mexico.

Lola StVil is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author living in California. She enjoys spending time with her family and staying in touch with her readers.
Debra lives in a little house in the woods with her three sons, and a Noah's ark of four legged family members. She drives a gigantic diesel SUV, couldn't carry a tune if you duct taped it to her back, and enjoys an occasional cosmopolitan (heavy on the vodka). On a good day, she jogs and horseback rides, hopefully managing to keep the horse between herself and the ground. Her only known super power is 'Identify Roadkill'.
Melissa Snark loves urban fantasy and romance stories full of action, mystery, and unexpected twists that will keep you turning the pages.

C. Gockel has been writing stories for her friends and family since the dark ages (i.e., before word processors existed.) A few years ago, she started posting those stories to the intertubes. She received emails, messages, and reviews from her fans telling her she should 'do this professionally.' She didn't; she is a coward and life as a digital designer, copywriter and coder is more dependable. But in the end, her husband's nagging wore her down: "You could be the next '50 Shades of Gray' and I could retire!" Unfortunately, the author writes science fiction and fantasy, and isn't particularly good at writing erotica. She is sad about this; she'd love for her husband to be able to retire and just work for her so she could nag him.
At the moment, Ms. Gockel is working on the next installment of the Archangel Project.
Ms. Gockel loves to hear from readers. She can be reached by email at: cgockel.publishing@gmail.com

Ron C. Nieto is a fantasy and romance author who has been writing in her secluded fortress for the longest time. Recently, she had a talk with her cat and decided that she should share her creations, because it was selfish to hoard them all for herself.
If you would like to know more about her, please visit her website.
After teaching English literature in the UK, Japan and Malaysia, Helen Harper left behind the world of education following the worldwide success of her Blood Destiny series of books. She is a professional member of the Alliance of Independent Authors and writes full time, thanking her lucky stars every day that's she lucky enough to do so!
Helen has always been a book lover, devouring science fiction and fantasy tales when she was a child growing up in Scotland.
She currently lives in Edinburgh with far too many cats – not to mention the dragons, fairies, demons, wizards and vampires that seem to keep appearing from nowhere.
Meg Collett is from the hills of Tennessee where the cell phone service is a blessing and functioning internet is a myth of epic proportions. She is the author of the Fear University Series, The Righteous Series, and the Canaan Island novels. She also writes wholesome romance under Meg Gossett. Find out more at her website www.megcollett.com.
C. J. Brightley grew up in Georgia. After a career in national security, she turned her attention to writing. She lives with her husband and young children in Northern Virginia. She blogs at CJBrightley.com, where you can find sneak peeks of upcoming books, deleted scenes, background material, thoughts on writing, and books she enjoys.
She also runs the Noblebright.org website dedicated to highlighting the best of noblebright fantasy. Noblebright fantasy characters have the courage to risk kindness, honesty, integrity, and love; to fight against their own flaws and the darkness of the world around them; and to find hope in a grim world.
Before finding domestic bliss in suburbia, S.T. Bende lived in Manhattan Beach (where she became overly fond of Peet’s Coffee) and studied Shakespeare in Europe… where she became overly fond of McVitie's cookies.
Her love of Scandinavian culture, and a very patient Norwegian teacher, inspired her YA Norse fantasy series' (Viking Academy, Ære Saga, Elsker Saga, and Alfheim Academy). And her deep love of a galaxy far, far away led to her writing children's books for the Star Wars franchise. As an experienced IP writer, she's written multiple books published by Disney-Lucasfilm Press and its licensees, and looks to expand into additional beloved IP projects.
When she's not creating stories, S.T. dreams of skiing on Jotunheim and Hoth.

Not memorable – I know I read this, but I don't remember anything about this, which means it really didn't make an impression at all. Sorry.
Chosen by Christine Pope
This one started out okay, but as the story progressed it started to feel more and more mary-sue-ish. The heroine is kinda dumb, and nothing feels realistic, I'm afraid.
The Hunted One by Meg Collet
I found this silly – these characters may be supposed to be angels, but they're very human and ordinary (and not very bright). They act, think, and talk like ordinary modern people, so what's the point in making them ancient non-human beings? Mythical beings should not seem that ordinary, thanks, otherwise the SF setting is merely a little unsatisfying window dressing. I got frustrated and gave up long before the end.
Things Unseen by C.J. Brightley
This isn't bad – the world building is competently done, and the characters are believable (and the non-human characters don't act and think like normal, ordinary humans, I'm happy to say, so the author has spent the time thinking about how another species might differ from us). The ending is a little OTT, though, and stops without any resolution. But overall this is a decent read.
Way of the Wolf by Mark E Cooper
This is frustrating – we start with one character's story, then we jump into another character's story (and don't see the first character again for about 30 chapters). Then we jump into a third story. The way the tale is structured is very unsatisfying, as by the time you get back to the other character's story, you've forgotten where you got to, and ceased to care. Essentially, the way the story has been structured doesn't work, and a different structure would have resulted in a much more satisfying read. I also found the characters all a bit samey, but that's a separate issue.
Eros by Helen Harper
This is readable. It's a bit hamstringed by the constraints of the myth (the narrative feels a bit forced, some times) but overall it's decent.
The Wild Hunt by Ron Nieto
This is okay. The heroine is likeable, and the main Fae character is non-human enough to be interesting. The ending is a cliff-hanger.
A Demon Bound by Debra Dunbar
This is great.
Vampire Addiction by Eva Pohler
The characters in this one are so silly that I gave up after a few chapters – there's a weird coffin in the basement that has sounds emanating from it, and all the adults try and discourage us from going into the basement, but let's not talk about it or try and figure out what's going on, and instead go out to look at boys..... good grief!
Valkyrie's Vengeance by Melissa Snark
The heroine here is whiny, self-pitying, and incredibly stupid. I disliked her immensely. She's supposed to be an alpha, and has the complete loyalty of all her pack, but she's so incompetent and weak that she couldn't possibly hold the position. And so stupid – she's tracked down the big, bad, beastie, and decides she needs backup. So what does she do? Get to a place of safety and THEN call for reinforcements? Signal for help while she hides and watches the beast? Nope! She turn her back on it while standing out in the open and proceed to make a long phone call (with the inevitable results). By this point I was rooting for the beastie. That said, it is readable enough that I finished it.
The Blue Rose by Losa St Vil
The write up of this one makes it sound like it's going to be a paranormal romance (emphasis on romance), but it really isn't. The characters are all high-school students, and the heroine and hero barely interact (at least not in the first 12 chapters, which is all I managed before I gave up). This is a fairly standard fish-out-of-water high school tale – teenager feels they don't really fit in, but this is because they are different and special and have all these powers they need to keep secret, and will need to find the strength within themselves to defeat the magical baddie, etc. – you know the drill. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible either, just a bit boring. What really finished it for me, though, was chapter 12. The chapter starts with a note: Mature content, younger readers please skip to the next chapter. That's just telegraphing to every young reader: “read this bit!!!” Of course no underage reader is going to skip it! Then comes a completely out of tone (with the rest of the book) graphic sex scene. Where'd that come from? Why is it there? That pretty much sums up the problem with the book – the author isn't certain what her story should be, and so she starts telling one story (teenaged misfit) then trying to turn it into something else (paranormal romance). It doesn't work.
Elsker by S T Bende
This annoyed me enormously, mostly because several chapters are supposed to be set in London, and the author's clearly never been to London in her life (and has not done sufficient research to hide that fact). “The buildings were so tall, vendors pushed their carts...” is her description of a neighbourhood without tall buildings, and London doesn't have street vendors pushing carts. Then she claims she went to the British Museum to look at the Magna Carter and TS Elliot's cat poems (wrong museum! They're in the British Library). There's a reason many authors set their books in towns they've lived in, and that's because you'll instantly lose a reader if you can't produce an adequate sense of place. I gave up shortly after this.
Blood Debt by Nancy Straight
This is okay, but the characters are all a bit impotent – the heroine especially spends far too long waiting for someone else to rescue her, which makes it a bit unsatisfying.

Amy Lewis has a plan to get to her grandmother's house in time for dinner. Loki knows he has forgotten something but has no idea what it is just that he is trapped in the mortal world. Can they join forces to defeat the gods, elves and neighbours or will Loki be distracted by technology, boobs and alcoholic benders.
Great story that made me laugh out loud at times. Well written and definitely worth considering reading the rest of the series (this is the first book in it).
Chosen - Christine Pope
A fatal illness wipes out most of the population of earth - just when the survivors think the worst is over they have to handle the next development.7
A nice story. Reasonably written.
The Hunted One - Meg Collett
Archangel Michaela has had his wings removed in disgrace when he discovers that the Angels have a lan for Heaven that may a step too far and irrevocable.
Nicely written. Reasonable story that I enjoyed
Things Unseen - C.J. Brightley
Aria Forsyth is drawn into the confict between human and inhuman and has to handle the differences between them all and try not to be involved in it.
Nice story that was pleasant to read.
Way of the Wolf - Mark E. Cooper
Dr David Lephmann helps a shifter and find himself in a different world containing violence and mistrust.
Nice story with plenty of action and drama.
Eros - Helen Harper
The Greek god of Love and the human who caught his heart - Eros is a contemporary re-telling of the myth of Cupid and Psyche.
I enjoyed this and found it quite clever in the way it was written and the way the story unfolded.
The Wild Hunt - Ron Nieto
Lily was meant to become a faerie doctor, disbelief and pragmatism led her away from the hidden world. She will be forced to face the truth, and the fae, if she wants to save her family.
Lots of drama and action in this lovely story.
A Demon Bound - Debra Dunbar
Sam is an imp, on vacation from Hell, but when she's blackmailed into tracking a rogue angel, her vacation, and possibly her life, might be over.
Great story that I enjoyed.
Vampire Addiction - Eva Pohler

Lots of drama and intrigue in this clever story.
Valkyrie's Vengeance - Melissa Snark
When children are abducted, Victoria, priestess of the Valkyrie, must work with her worst enemy to rescue them.
Pleasant story that didn't set my world on fire but was enjoyable.
The Blue Rose - Lola St. Vil
The most powerful Angel that ever lived and the dangerous demon who holds her heart.
Great story that had a nice contrast between angels and demons and the torture of a forbidden love.
Elsker - S.T. Bende
Kristia Tostenson just found out her new boyfriend is the Norse God of Winter -an immortal assassin destined to die at Ragnarok.
Wow - amazing story that I enjoyed a great deal.
Blood Debt - Nancy Straight
Camille discovers a family she never dreamed of and a world that should not exist.
Enjoyable story that was nice to read and very enjoyable.

I Bring The Fire by C Gockel, Norse myths interrelate with contemporary life.
Way Of the Wolf by Mark E Cooper, this wanders rather but very interestingly so.
And best of all so far, The Wild Hunt by Ron C Nieto, a really spellbinding exploration of fairie, I bought the next two books in this series so got temporarily distracted from the rest of the anthology. Enough to make me look forward to worse weather and dark evening.
