He’ll need to team up with a grizzled veteran and an unlikely crew of miscreants to find the answers before Wildespell goes up in flames.

Oh, and he’ll also need to figure out how to stop Renholm from stealing left shoes. Pixies are just the worst.

This series just grows from strength to strength as we add in political intrigue into the mix and with the various options Boyd has at his beck and call this shows great action, power ups and of course great storytelling.
This may be my favourite series outside his massive VGO series.

Boyd finds himself smack in the middle of political intrigue. The Vigils are all powerful due to their activities of protecting the people from monsters. With this power however comes temptation. This is like the previous entry a mystery. What is the monster terrorising the city? why is it targeting those it does? and most important of all what are those behind it up to? A good mix of training, adventure, crafting cool weapons, intrigue and a truly interesting skill system. Still like the pixie and his murderous and thieving ways. looking forward to the next one.
