It also doesn’t have the hole that the large size Sophie has. We had bought the large one for my older son and discovered that it was full of Mold from washing. Eek!!
This design does not contain the hole so we are happy to not have to worry about mold growth.
This is SO easy for her to hold. Even now she has much better hand coordination she still loves this little thing, but it was extra great when she was 3 months to help her learn to use her hands and hold things.
These are favorites for a reason.
It’s a harder material and much smaller in size. My son was not a fan. He loves his Sophie Giraffe so I thought this one would be great for teething. I did give it away and another child is enjoying it so that’s something.

However I would advise you don’t
Within a day of my baby having this he had chewed bits of rubber of it and was consuming it.
This is not for a child teething with teeth. Maybe for a baby with just gums but otherwise it’s a hazard.
Straight in the bin
The shapes were too difficult for his tiny hands and developing grasp function.
So when I saw this...with it's handles...i knew I had to vice it a go and I'm so glad I did. He managed to grasp it easily and I could tell he found it very satisfying on his gums.
It's small for the price but it's worth it for him to be able to use it without me having to hold it for him.
