Erma Bombeck-like Middle Aged Mom Misadventures ... and Advice for Living In a Home Full of Males
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 25, 2020Verified Purchase
"When I run, it is like someone startled an elephant." That tells you all you need to know about how agile Kristie is - which is to say, "not so much." These humorous anecdotes poke fun at the author while exposing the frustrations of dealing with a jealous female cat who seems to want Kristie dead, a son who demands money from Kristie in return for allowing her youngest boy to live, and a "hub" who does his best to be the man of the house - which is to say, "not so well." The author gets women and knows what is really, really important to them. "Now that I am middle aged, it is a win if when I fall down I don’t pee my pants." Warning: Reading this book might make you do just that, making it a perfect addition to your bathroom library.

You never really understand your own gender until they have certain lights shone upon them from an entirely different perspective. I found this insightful, funny and courageous! A lot of people meander into the halfway point of their lives with trepidation, but this book isn't afraid to tell you to embrace those years because they may be your most rewarding yet!

hysterical short stories

This was such a funny book. The author is so relatable from her encounters with Darth Vader to her plant killing cat! It’s worth the reads and the stories are short, perfect for when you need a good laugh.
