A New York Times, USA Today, and Indie bestseller!
Critically acclaimed and bestselling authors Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera combine their talents in this smart, funny, heartfelt collaboration about two very different boys who can’t decide if the universe is pushing them together—or pulling them apart.
ARTHUR is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.
BEN thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.
But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them . . . ?
Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.
Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.
But what if they can’t nail a first date even after three do-overs?
What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?
What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?
But what if it is?
What if it’s us?
Plus don't miss Here's to Us! Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera reunite to continue the story of Arthur and Ben, the boys readers first fell for in What If It’s Us.

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
At times the verbal dialogue had me second guessing between the two MC’s on who was speaking. Found myself having to backtrack to see who would be saying what.
That aside, this is a great gay fiction read. The main characters and supporting cast make an interesting go at a great plot. Who knows? Maybe one day it will be a Broadway musical.

Didn't like Arthur's personality, his impulsivity makes him look selfish, I can understand the bad reviews but there's SO many people out there acting this way that it made the book real. BTW Ben and Dylan are awesome! Great book, very moving, I had a few tears and a couple laughs many times during my reading. It's a must read!
There will definitely be a sequel to that book, Epilogue was too teasing, Ben is "WOW" :) (The Universe had more planned for them!)

I would say it’s is a predictable book, the way things build up and the ways this get torn up near the end and how it’s ends on a good note. Also the characters as well which were kinda cliche.
This book was very cute but I kinda got over it when they had their breakdown and Arthur and Ben were mad at everyone and everything like idk it was abut annoying so I skipped that.
Don’t know if I’ll read the second book in the series but it was a fun book to have playing in the back while your working.

This book was everything. . Everything going wrong but everything going right. Laughs, tears, heartbreak and laughter.
Is it was that I checked Wattpad for BennisTheMenace and even listened to some Dear Evan Hansen and Hamilton songs? I loved this book THAT much 😻😻

Not so. It's OK, but there's no original ideas here at all. And I found the characters very one dimensional. It's a 3 star book, readable but forgettable. A sort of holiday read you can leave on the plane book.
