I love this book. I am looking forward to reading it to the children at school. The message is beautiful, and the illustrations are bold & vibrant.
Riley is Riley. ❤️
There are opportunities to have conversations about emotions surrounding the first day of school and ideas on how to deal with them. Conversations about doing scary things when we must (like going to the dentist), and ways to deal with those things. Conversations could be had about ball gowns, dinner etiquette, and fancy restaurants. These are just a few ideas about conversations, and then there are the conversations about gender & identity that could be had.
