About the authors
Christian Slade is best known as the artist and author of the graphic novel series Korgi. Even though he grew up in New Jersey and California and currently resides in Florida, it is at his art desk and in the pages of his sketchbook where he really lives. Drawing upon his travels and life experiences, Christian uses traditional media such as pen and ink, and watercolor to create his narrative artwork. He is the illustrator of the New York Times bestselling childrens book Where Do Diggers Sleep At Night? and has created pictures for the monthly Ricky and Pals story in Ranger Rick Jr magazine for over nine years. Christian is also a prolific plein air artist and sketchbook enthusiast. Many of these personal and experimental works are in private collections around the world and for sale here on this website. He lives in Winter Garden Florida with his wife Ann and their twins Kate and Nate.
Brianna Caplan Sayres used to tell her second graders, "When I grow up, I'm going to be a writer." "But you are grown up, Mrs. Sayres," her students would protest. Well, Brianna is still not quite sure she's grown up, but she has grown into a writer. She is proud to be the author of the bestselling WHERE DO DIGGERS SLEEP AT NIGHT? series (Random House) illustrated by Christian Slade. Brianna is also extremely excited about her upcoming picture books about outer space, including ASTEROID GOLDBERG: PASSOVER IN OUTER SPACE (Intergalactic Afikoman) illustrated by Merrill Rainey and NIGHT NIGHT, CURIOSITY (Charlesbridge) illustrated by Ryan O'Rourke. Brianna now lives in her hometown, Seattle, Washington, where she and her husband are kept busy by their two future astronauts. My only qualm with this book is the condition in which it was received (see image). I guess I shouldn't be too surprised though...I've purchased more than a dozen (supposedly new) board books from Amazon.ca and at least half of them have arrived in this type of warped condition. So frustrating and disappointing!

Goes though numerous types of trucks:
Where do dump trucks sleep....
Where do garbage trucks sleep...
Where do monster trucks sleep....
