First thing I did notice was quite a few typos and grammar flaws but that is not anything that can't be over looked. The introduction is quite lengthy but it also dips into the history of herbalism and of witchcraft. Even providing time lines. The why and how to grow your own herbs. Helping to identify your zone, best soil, soil makeup, and compost (gives you directions on how to build your own compost). Then it gets into easy to grow medical and magickal herbs. Each herb lists its grow info, zone, needs, parts used, folklore and magical use (will sometimes provide simple tiny spells), also food and medicine use. This section is then followed by the poison garden; now this, I find fascinating and it does give you fair warning about the use of these plants. Be cautious, I mean it is called the poison garden after all. It will give you a brief history on each herb, it's effects, and performed growing methods. Next is foraging; this starts with the basics of safety, when, where, and how. Also equipment and tools to use. Then we move onto common forageable herbs, regions where they are found, habitats, identification, parts used, and as before with growing herbs it has folklore and magick, and food and medicine uses. Finally finishing off the book with remedies, spells, rituals, and the wheel of the year. With a few very beautiful and colorful illustrated images of a some of the herbs. Of course as with any book, you will also get acknowledgements, notes, and an index.
Wild Witchcraft is quite a bit of a heavy wordy book but nonetheless it is absolutely packed with great, useful information that I find both intriguing and very helpful.
I hope that this review helps those that may be interested in this book.
