Finally found some decent socks

I have always had trouble finding socks that work for me. Why do men's socks come in ridiculous size ranges? I'm a shoe size 8 1/2, and I'm expected to wear the same size socks as someone with size 11? That's crazy, most often the heel "pocket" rides half way up my achilles. In addition to can't-find-socks-that-fit, I can rarely find socks that actually stay up. I'm a boot wearing guy, and I hate it when my socks slump lower that the top of my boot shafts. I decided to take a chance on these Wrangler boot socks, and I'm real happy with them. They fit pretty well, and they STAY UP. Yay!

I give these a 5-star rating for their length and make. However, I bought these for my father who needed a knee-high length but not a compression...they were too tight around his legs. Trying to stretch them so he can wear...not sure how this will work out? Overall though I would buy again very nice socks, soft and the no seam at toes makes for better comfort. Made in USA not China!!

I feel like these have been improved in the past year. It used to be that after a few months they would stop being so elastic, and it would be difficult to have them stay up. This appears to be fixed in more recent purchases I've made. No idea they've actually changed things, or I just had a dodgy first purchase.

They fit well, are comfortable, and usually stay up. But they do not stand up well to active use. During a week at a conference where I was just briskly walking between venues a few times a day, I wrecked a pair every day. The outer surface gets shredded to fuzz just by normal, minor boot movement.

For anyone working long or rigorous hours in western footwear, I recommend domething made from much more durable fibres.

Most comfortable pair of knee length socks I've ever had. Fabric is really comfortable, and they provide just enough compression to relieve leg and foot fatigue. I don't actually wear them with boots, but with high-cut sports shoes. Work beautifully.

I want to give these socks 5 stars but cannot. There are 2 variations of these socks that must be made at different facilities. The first is a very nice fitting, thick, comfortable sock that stays up very well. The second is thin, tight, itchy, and doesn't stay up.

I received the first package as a gift and the socks were good ones. I then ordered 2 packages and received 1 good package and 1 bad package. I then ordered an additional package and received a good one.

Recently it was time to purchase socks again and once again I received both a good package and a bad package. You really just don't know what you will receive and I've began referring to it as the sock lottery- but I keep buying them because I really like the good version and give away the bad packages.

The Wrangler Boot Socks are overall a decent buy, but not perfect. My husband wears Red Wing slip-on work boots. Basically, it's a working version of a cowboy boot. They come all the way up the calf like a cowboy boot, and regular socks simply weren't cutting it - he was rubbing the heck out of the back of his leg and leaving a rash.

Enter the socks. The first set we bought were black XL sized - the black matters here, so stay with me. He's got a size 12EEE foot, so we needed the big socks. They showed up the next day (yay, Prime!) and were immediately put to use. The socks fit true to size - a firm sock with just enough compression to keep your feet from being tired - and came all the way to the knee. The bottoms were nicely padded and easily worked for all-day wear.

He liked them enough to order up a second set, but this time in gray. Like I said - this matters.... Completely different. They're half the thickness as the black and slightly tighter in fit. Almost no padding on the bottom. As if they're a totally different item, not simply a different color. So the rating I've got is for the black ones. The gray, I'd say 2.5 to 3 stars. The black, great socks!

I don't normally have a lot to say about my socks. ust not typically a great conversation topic unless you happen to be looking for an exceptional pair of socks...right?

I look for four things in particular when I'm looking to buy socks. A good fit for my feet, Comfortable but snug fitting material, overall durability, and for crying out loud...a reasonable price!

In my opinion these fine Wrangler socks scored top ratings one every one of my "Great Socks" categories.

First, they're actually offered in a very rare "large man" size. Can't begin to tell you how hard it is to find socks for someone who wears shoes larger than a size 12. ESPECIALLY at a reasonable price! I bought three pairs of these extra-large Wrangler socks for LESS THAN the price of a single pair of any other comparable socks! (actually, I think I bought 9 pair all together!)

Next, the material these socks are made of is incredible! I've never seen socks made of such a soft, light but yet really sturdy material like these before. A bit thinner than your standard athletic sock these are just short of what I'd expect for a compression sock. A nice snug fit that's not about to start sliding down to you ankles!

All this and then to get THREE PAIR for less than $20.00...I'll definitely be coming back for more of these great Wrangler Boot Socks!
