The large fit my 75 pound golden retriever. I would think the medium would fit your aussie. They are adjusted too.

My smallish standard poodle weighs 50 pounds and a medium fits her fine but a large might be better as there is no room to expand it. She has a deep chest. One option is to check the company website for the size chart.

I'd recommend measuring your dog's girth...here is the measurement from their website info... MEDIUM 5/8'' WIDTH: 23-28" girth, sounds like the medium would probably be a good choice for a smallish border collie. A front leader is excellent for training.
