An overhead repair may require clamping where possible. I have used it overhead by adding a little bit more hardener to the epoxy or by waiting a little longer prior to applying it to the pieces that you are joining together before it starts to set up. I have used it overhead by adding a little bit more hardener to the epoxy or by waiting a little longer prior to applying it to the pieces that you are joining together before it starts to set up. I have had success by clamping the two pieces together. For lighter weight items masking tape works great to hold the pieces together until the epoxy is hard as per the cure time instructions on the bottle. Duct tape could also be used when clamping isn’t possible. If you are concerned about the duct tape damaging your work you can try wrapping plastic wrap around the work first and pull the duct tape really tight and wrap it firmly around the work to hold the two pieces together. see less An overhead repair may require clamping where possible. On it own it flows easily. I added CECCORP C-THIX 100 Fumed Silica to thicken. It reduced the flow, but it still eventually flowed, you may want to consider a two part putty epoxy the sticks like peanut butter, like JB Weld plastic weld that I have used on many applications that I thought would never hold and still holding to this day. The reason I used the CECCORP C-TOUGH Epoxy is for it's flexibility on the canoe bottom that is still taking a beating and holding as good as new.
