Your laptop will tell you whether it may or may not perform this task for you.

Yes. It is wireless so you must have an internet connection. We have 3 laptops and all are connected.

For sure! Just make sure you download the HP Smart app onto your computer because there are times when you need to use the app to enable the printer to scan the document, instead of pressing the scan controls on the printer itself. I hope that helps.

Yes, you can scan documents via the scanbed or automatic document feeder and save it as a file on your computer. You may also scan directly to your smartphone and other mobile devices by using the HP Smart App – available on the App Store for iOS, Play Store for Android, and Windows Store for Windows devices.

Yes, but you may not be able to do it via the computer. I have an older Mac, running El Capitan 10.11.6, which HP forgot to tell me is incompatible for scanning and HP Smart Ink program. So I scan via my iPhone and email the result to me. Clunky, but it works, and the printer does take a good scan.
