It has 5 metal hooks that go into the cracks of your trunk. Two on the top, two on the side and one under the car. Works quite well and is easy to setup. No tow hitch required.

I honestly do not know, I have no reason to think it would not. I drive a Volvo XC 60, a middle sized SUV, which is not that much larger width wise across the hatch area and it fits well
