I use 2 liners for nightime use. It is a little bit bulky but for me I don't mind.

Answer:
It all depends on your baby. You usually have to do some tweaking with layers. We personally use disposables at night because my 5mo old can sleep a whole night sometimes or just get up once for a feeding.

Answer:
The recommend amount is about 40-45 but I have 32 and use them night and day. I change her about every 2-2 1/2 hrs during the day, my LO sleeps the whole night so I don’t change her during the night and does not have leaks, it’s perfect. I wash every 2-3 days.

Answer:
I don't see on the site where it indicates using disposable bamboo inserts. The diapers come with 2 reusable microfiber inserts that are washed and reused. The outer shell is not at all absorbent and so would be washed and reused regardless of what type of insert you choose to use.
