It really depends on how much you use. With mica you barely have to use any to get a solid colour. It will be sparkly/shiny if you use the metallic or shimmering one. Pure mica is white. In order to become different colours, it must be mixed with some sort of dyes or colorants.

As far as I know you can but theres a special way to do it. I myself dont do any glass fusing and if I may suggest, Google it for proper instructions.
