Mine was shipped in a padded envelope. Two corners of the envelope were broken open and the drive was partially visible. I returned it for exchange without opening the envelope completely. Answer:
REDs are 3 Years, Red Pros are 5 years (me thinks). A simple search on WD website would tell you.

Its shipped as oem . Not sure on the warranty. I use these on a raid system
