This plan covers replacement costs or parts and labor
costs to repair the remote accidentally damaged in the event it experiences
a breakdown which is not covered under any insurance policy,
other warranty or service contract. Thus if the unit is under warranty is not covered. But
the coverage for small electronics includes a one (1) time reimbursement via a
gift card or cheque, at the insurers' discretion,of up to 15.00$ for the
cost of shipping your product to the manufacturer for repair or
replacement during the term of the manufacturer’s warranty. see less

It’s a one time cost, but to be honest the insurance doesn’t really cover you for anything that would be useful, or especially helpful. Personally I think it’s a complete waste of money and would not recommend it at all!
