Not sure; it’s designed for the Nintendo Switch, so it might not be compatible. There are, however, memory cards made specifically for the PS Vita available on Amazon. I’d recommend one of those as it’s far less risky.

No hacking needed. Just pop the card in, it'll probably ask you to do an update (or maybe not) and then you'll be told to format it. I do believe you can move anything over to the card.

The quick write speeds allow me to record at 4K @60fps with a sony cam with no issues... if that's what you're asking.

It's an SD card that is secondary to the switch it will not be faster maybe just as fast but the built in hard drive will always be faster. But after a quick Google search to verify there isn't much on the speeds of the hard drive.
