8" x 3" is the inside measurements.
The pan is closer to 8.4" in diameter including the bead on top.

For best results, we recommend the Angel cake pans for chiffon cakes. But chiffon cakes can also be baked in our regular cake pans.
If baked in the round cake pans, we advise greasing the bottom of the pan but not the sides of the pan.
If the sides of the pan are greased the cake will not be able to cling to the pan… see more

During manufacturing, the outside goes through a process called sun-raying. Which is basically a buffing. Causing the outside of the pan to be smoother than the inside.
We are currently attempting to replicate this finish on the inside of the pan with alterations to the chucks we use.

The 6x2" cake pans cannot be stacked inside each other for storage. However you can fit smaller pans inside each other. for Example: 6" inside the 8" and so on.
