We are all hoping the app can do what its doing now, but without paid cloud service, free right now. We may need cloud, to stream video to app, as it may be too much for that small sync module to do, I am waiting to see myself. Sync module appears to be a video clip recorder or “backup” of clips from Blink or “cloud”, information available is not 100% clear yet. For example Dlink cams stream your video via their servers for free, but they save nothing to cloud unless you pay. So hopefully Blink will allow “streaming” of vids as it does now, for Free. Cloud should only be for “extra” secure remote storage, which is nice if house fire, or burglar steals your sync model, you still have access to “cloud” videos showing you the burglar and what happened. see less There will be a Blink camera firmware update in December that will support the sync module and features from what I have read.
