The cable isn't giving you 5gbps.

After getting choppy, low frame-rate video using Oculus Link, and after a few days of learning, diagnosing the problem and eliminating all variables, it's 100% the cable that's the problem.

Contacted Amazon support and I'm getting a refund.

Will try another.

When converting numbers, that's 312MB/s instead of 625MB/s.

Don't buy this!

Will not charge my Oculus Quest from computer or dedicated 2A usb charger.. it just drains it slowly.

Connection with Oculus Link does work and shows 1.5-2.3 Gbps but it drops after 10 min or so and I need to restart all the software. I tried it with various motherboard ports and a dedicated USB card, and just doesn't hold a connection.

Overall the cable is nicely braided and the connections are snappy, it just doesn't work.

I bought this mainly as a phone charging cable. After having gone through so many cables which pull apart near the main connection I wanted something much stronger. This cable provides exactly that. It has a thick nylon braiding giving very good strength, and there is a very reassuring click when plugging in the USB-C connector into any phone.

I need this much length of cable to reach around from the plug at one end of the room to where I sit at the other end as well as for use in the car when the kids need a charger in the back of the vehicle, without pulling on the connections when plugged in.

Whilst it is not a fast charging it does the job as a charging cable. I appreciate it is designed for use with the Oculus VR units, I am sure anyone getting it would not be disappointed at the quality.

The moulded plastic from the connectors to the cable gives it the best protection against wearing away when bending back and forth which is always where the problems occur with other cheaper cables.

I also like the fact it comes with a velcro loop to neatly roll away when not needed.
