Didn't work at first but figured out the problem on my quest

It works and gets detected before I allow it in the quest to alter files but after it doesn't work. I'll try to get a refund maybe i got defective one.

It works!! I was gonna refund then I saw a reditt post. What I did was deny the share data then turn off oculus air link then it'll show the enable link prompt then it works!

The cable isn't giving you 5gbps.

After getting choppy, low frame-rate video using Oculus Link, and after a few days of learning, diagnosing the problem and eliminating all variables, it's 100% the cable that's the problem.

Contacted Amazon support and I'm getting a refund.

Will try another.

When converting numbers, that's 312MB/s instead of 625MB/s.

Don't buy this!

Will not charge my Oculus Quest from computer or dedicated 2A usb charger.. it just drains it slowly.

Connection with Oculus Link does work and shows 1.5-2.3 Gbps but it drops after 10 min or so and I need to restart all the software. I tried it with various motherboard ports and a dedicated USB card, and just doesn't hold a connection.

Overall the cable is nicely braided and the connections are snappy, it just doesn't work.

I have a working 10ft, USB 2.0 cable, I bought this so that I can be further away from my PC.

When I plug this into my gaming PC (GTX 1660 Ti, Ryzen 7). Oculus app picked it up as a USB 3.0 (I've tried other "3.0" cables before and it reported as 2.0 connection), however the test was unable to complete due to "unstable connection". During game play this disconnects intermittently (I'm testing in Beat Saber which worked fine with my other old 2.0 cable). I'm returning this.

The cable was pretty decent for the price, and worked pretty well. A few weeks passed and the cable now randomly disconnects pretty often, every 15 minutes or so. It also sometimes just doesn't work at all. I was really careful with the cable. There is no visible damage. As for the build quality, it was pretty good, just the cable was pretty heavy so you could feel it tugging on the headset. Would not recommend it.

The cable felt okay at first to use just to tether my Oculus to a charger in an electrical outlet. When I tried to connect it to my PC however, I was instantly informed by the Oculus Link app that the *advertised* 5GB/s speeds would not be reachable for this cable. I continued to use the cable to try to play Steam VR on my Oculus, but the cable constantly would disconnect for no reason. That same night, when I removed the cable from the headset, I noticed the USB C connector was sitting at a funny angle, and it broke right off of the cable as soon as I touched it. My 8' USB C cable that came with my Xbox Elite controller worked perfectly though! This cable cost something like $35 Canadian, yet Amazon then requested I go through all the trouble of printing off a Canada Post label, packaging the item myself (which never arrived in its own packaging), and driving several kilometers to the nearest Post Office, with gas prices this high. The product is as cheap as can be and the customer service was the worst I've ever received from Amazon. Once I have my refund money I'll shop for the new cable somewhere else, because if the next Amazon one doesn't work I don't want to go through this amount of hassle again.

I bought this cable for my quest 2 and it cannot hold a connection. I thought it might have been my USB ports, but after hours of troubleshooting I found out it was the cable.

I bought another USB 3.0 cable to test and the other cable worked flawlessly without any issues. I'd avoid this cable and look on reddit for a list of other third party cables that have been verified by real people.

May or may not work with other stuff. It seems it's an ok cable. But for my quest 2, it didn't work.
Tried every possible solution. Got countless hours of support for troubleshooting. Nothing helped to achieve usb 3 connection between my quest 2 and my laptop.
Tried adapters&hubs&updates& everything. It only workes as usb 2.0 ( 367mbps) never got usb 3 connection. And it was so unstable, it always kept disconnecting every few seconds.

After all, a simple amazonbasics cable gave me a solid 3.0 usb connection with 2.4 gbps. Nothing else worked.

NOT nylon braided

I specifically ordered this for the alleged nylon braid. The previous cable (like the one I just received) has a rubbery casing that sticks to everything and make movement difficult. Nylon braided cables don't have this problem. This cable is NOT nylon braid.

Do yourself a favour and just avoid this and buy one off best buy who has more of a reputation to uphold. Got the cord, plugged it in and everything seemed fine but it CONSTANTLY freezes every 20 mins or so until you completely close and reopen the link. I don't even have these issues using airlink!
Super dissapointing. Save yourself the hassle and don't take the chance and get burned like I did. Will be returning this.
