The rack itself feels quite sturdy and secure on the back of my SUV, and it’s great that it’s pretty much universal (double check for your vehicle though).
For my bike though (Medium frame, full suspension DH bike) I ran into some minor issues that I had to get creative to ensure a secure fit.
Firstly, my bike has very little gap between down-tube and top-tube, and I could only just get one rack-arm between the two.
So I went to local bike shop to purchase a Swagman Bar Adapter Deluxe. Once I’d got that on my bike, I tried to fit both rack arms between bar adapter and top tube - didn’t quite fit.
So in the end I had to get one arm underneath bar adapter seat-end, and one arm underneath the top of bottom-tube between suspension (pictured). I then struggled to get the securing strap around the top of the bottom-tube as it’s quite bulky on my bike. Did manage it in the end but doesn’t feel super-sturdy, so I finish it off by ratchet-strapping around the frame and arms.
Won’t fit 3 DH bikes of this style, but I did manage to fit 2 on.
I didn’t have tow-bar on vehicle at time of purchase, I do now. Come next spring I think I will upgrade to a North Shore Rack, now that I have a tow-bar, only because of how awkward my bike is.
