The Allen QR hitch rack is the perfect way to transport your bicycles on road trips or camping excursions. The quick install locking hitch insert allows you to install the rack into your receiver hitch wobble-free without needing any tools to secure. About Allen Sports
Dick Allen (pictured left in 1972) started Allen Sports in his garage in 1967. Since its founding, the company has been committed to producing the highest-quality, easiest-to-use bike racks and bicycle related products on the market. Dick, a onetime aerospace engineer, opened Allen Sports after building a prototype bike carrier in his Lincoln, Massachusetts shop in his free time. The first ever trunk-mounted bicycle carrier made of electrical conduit, metal strapping, and fire hose casings (for padding) was refined on weekend excursions to Cape Cod. Shortly afterward, Allen took his design to market, and by 1971 had established a national presence for his product.
Today, the family owned company operates four warehouses nationally, six factories abroad, and sells products in countries around the world including USA, Mexico, Canada, and China.
Very good, i tie-wrapped the bike for extra protection, the bikes dont move when you drive into a Big hole on the road… i had a small problem the third time i installed it on my car, the lock pin got jammed in my hitch because i installed it too much further so it didnt go in the "good hole" i had to disassemble the mechanism that tight the rack into the hitch

Very good, i tie-wrapped the bike for extra protection, the bikes dont move when you drive into a Big hole on the road… i had a small problem the third time i installed it on my car, the lock pin got jammed in my hitch because i installed it too much further so it didnt go in the "good hole" i had to disassemble the mechanism that tight the rack into the hitch

Thanks to Allen, it never gave me the hassle of returning it. It is a great product at an amazing price. It comfortably holds 5 bikes, fits perfectly on my 2019 Subaru Ascent 2" receiver. Its got a few glitches like it is not very convenient to lower a fully loaded rack to open the trunk. Other than that it is an extremely nice product and would recommend this to anyone looking to buy good rack at an awesome price.
UPDATE: After 2 months of usage, it is observed that when there are no bikes and the stand folded down, the main rack doesn't sit still. Its wobbly and makes this weird noise. A simple solution is to tie it with a band but yet its not a good thing. I wish it was sat sturdier.

I am not an active biker. I just needed one to carry 4 bikes (2 adults, 2 kids) whenever we wanted to go to biking trails. Obviously I didn't want to spend a fortune on some of the industry standard names. The problem with bike racks is that, if you do not buy a quality one, it is as good as not buying one. In this dilemma I bumped into this product and was surprised to see great reviews, while the cost was very competitive. Who are you kidding, this bike rack costs 1/3rd the price of some of the great names.
