I read Goggin's first book and then bought this one because I liked his story and writing style. I love how David explains his thought process around resilience and perseverance. I'm in aw of how he pushes through even the hardest things he's ever experienced to complete his goals. It's a reminder that we can do more than we think. I think of his words often when I'm pursuing something difficult and always ask myself, what would Goggin's do? That helps me keep going.

This book had the same impact on me at 47 years old as Rocky IV did when I was 10 years old. It makes you feel as though anything is possible if you are willing to believe it. I've read a ton of books that were created to help the reader achieve more, but by far, David Goggins books are the best example of this genre that I've ever come across. I pre-ordered this book as soon as I heard it was coming out. I also pre-ordered the Audible version, which I have finished already and reviewed on Audible.

This book is incredibly inspirational. It picks up where Can't Hurt Me left off but also follows back on a few things from that book. What I like is he describes how as he has got older (he is 47 at the time of this book's publishing) he had to deal with his body breaking down yet despite that he continues to push himself harder and further, doing such crazy ultra's as the MOAB 240, a 200 across Florida and a 444 mile bike race after having knee surgery and more. He even goes on to state that he feels as strong as ever if not stronger. I'm an older individual in his age range and find that kind of drive extra motivational.

David Goggins is someone who motivates by example, his example, not via words and crafted speeches. This book is 5+ stars and highly recommended to anyone wanting to get out of their mediocrity and move beyond. If you want to go one beyond this book I also highly recommend the Audible, while it contains the book in spoken form it also has commentary from David throughout going into further detail on a number of the subjects covered in the book and it definitely adds to the experience.

Got this in every format but love to listen to it (the book also has pics if you can stomach them). Also, I love that Adam Skolnick is back with his “Goggins man…!!!” exclamations at the start of every podcast which is what we’re all thinking. The chapter with his Mom cut deep - just wow; Ms Gardener we salute you.

Perfect timing too as it’s a great end/start of year book to get motivated (the discipline left to us to apply and follow).
