I bought this as a replacement for a damaged optical cord. The cord went to a box from my tv. It transmitted sound to my hearing aids. I was really disappointed when I couldn't get any sound. This new cord I ordered is great. It's a lot sturdier than the one I had. Sound is perfect. I am very happy with my purchase.
