Functions as intended, but doesn't light up automatically when you walk in front of it. Emergency call buttons are also fairly useless and clutter the design. You need to have a subscription to use them and even then it directs you to the security office, who then sends someone out to check on you/your property, charges you to assess the situation, and then calls the appropriate authorities. The whole reason I chose this system was because of those buttons - so my young child could push them in an emergency without having to unlock my cell phone, dial, etc. I'll be dead by the time the ambulance arrives with Ring's protocol!
