First Impression: Has a soft rubber handle and 2 surfaces, a grating side and a sanding side. The grating side reminds me of a lemon zester.
The grating side has a removable cover to empty the shavings. Sanding side is not removable, since it has holes, I’m hoping running under a tap is sufficient to clean it.
Measures approx. 23.7cm long and the head is 6.3cm x 1cm.
First Use: I’ve used a pumice stone before, but never a grater. Was concerned the grater would be too sharp and cause damage.
Followed the instructions, used the grater side and did not apply much pressure in a sawing motion. After a few minutes, most of the dry skin was gone.
The grater was able to collect most of the shavings, but some did end up on the floor. I thought the shavings would be similar to zested lemons, but it turned out to be more like flour.
Final Impression: Overall, I found after cleaning up, the results for a first use was pretty good as it was a lot quicker than using a pumice stone. The removable cover helps keep the mess down and makes it easy to clean. I think this would be a good for anyone wanting to keep the calluses/dry hard skin on your feet at bay.
