I reviewed this brand's genmaicha tea in the individual bag form so I was glad to see it in the loose tea form. If you are unfamiliar with it, it tastes "roasted" like a savory flavour. You can still add milk/cream to it - I've had it recently at a Pho restaurant as a cold bubble tea.
I recently purchased the Breville tea maker and I am having a bit of trouble deciding how much tea to water to temperature to brew time for it though... I think it is just a light looking tea? Like the teamaker says 3 spoons of tea for 750ml of water... But to look at the loose tea there is a lot of rice taking up the volume so if it was just green tea, there'd only be half that or so of actual tea. I don't want to double the amount of tea used so I am trying hotter and longer... Just figured I'd pass it along that I think it just looks light, even for green tea, it's light colored.
