I've tried other essential oil brands, and found NOW to offer the best buy for my purposes. To repel insects in clothes storage I use a few drops of the lavender, lemongrass and citronella oils on tissue or paper towel. (A small container - for example, a salt shaker or plastic chewing gum box - keeps the oils from the fabrics.)
In place of a personal fragrance, a mix of lavender and lemongrass has gained many compliments and does not appear to trigger reactions in the scent-sensitive. Not used directly on the skin - it may burn - but carried in a pocket, a couple of drops on a folded tissue, folded in another tissue to prevent the oils from transferring to clothing.
