You get 83 regular colors including a few neon-like ones, 4 “metallic” colors (glitter), 4 GelFX colors, and five metal (Gold, copper etc) colors (see pix). As expected there’s no washable crayons in this pack.
I have a one yr old (nearly two) who has been using these a few months and who likes putting them in and out of the boxes as much as coloring lol. Only one point end has snapped off -the “navy blue” one. And tbh i taped it back on and we still use it lol.
We got these after using an 8 pack and a 24 pack for many months and we liked them and the color laid down pretty much as good as I remembered (i make drawings for the kids with them too). So far our toddler hasn’t had any issues -even while coloring two-handed or with several in one hand lol.
We were gifted expensive large size Honey Sticks beeswax crayons but the colors do not compare to crayola’s darkness, brightness and clarity of color (most of the beeswax ones just look like super faded colors).
When baby #2 was on the way I bought two 96 packs. They are normally a great price but irresistible at 15% off!
TIP: If you have a baby registry, add these when you use your completion discount, most Crayola stuff is discount eligible! We also got Crayola washables and glitter packs.
The 96 box comes with a no-mess sharpener on the back but we haven’t used it yet.
If i had anything negative to say it would be that the outer box is waaaaay too flimsy. It’s almost like it’s expected that you don’t keep them in there. We do use it but the outer box is a pain.
In the end, obviously Crayolas are not CaranD’Ache but the usability you get for the price, I don’t know how they do it. These are a great buy.
