I love Trevor Noah's style of recapping the day's events on his The Daily Show. He is bright, articulate, funny and has a way of putting a new light on our world, in keeping with Jon Stewart's style.

What I did not appreciate until after reading this book, was how hard and how far Trevor traveled to get to the Daily Show anchor chair. Why he is not dead, sitting in a South African jail or panhandling on a New York Street is in itself a miracle. His success can be credited as much to his wit and street smarts as it is to his mother. While she had flaws, her undying resolve that Trevor do things better, proper and right kept him on, more of less, the straight and narrow.

An interesting read if you are a Trevor fan.
