I do a lot of guitar & vocal work. My instruments and mics go through a dedicated mixer, which is important to know. I use my Shure SM58 for my vocals and I use this mic for my guitar. To the extent that it is not a Shure SM58, I can adjust its frequency response to be as I want it by tweaking the mixer equaliser. The improvement I would get from another Shure is not worth the price I would have to pay.
