I've been using it for about a month and it works as advertised. It reduces wobble on my Swagman XTC 2 bike rack and the lock provides security that my bike rack will still be there when I return to my car. The bolt tightens snugly in the same way as the one provided with the bike rack, with the added security of the lock.
