This is a replacement for a failed Kingston SSD. It was easy to install and windows setup was a breeze, using a usb thumb drive. My big complaint with all of these manufacturers SSD drives is the standard 3 year warranty on them. It's as though the drive companies think that we only plan to keep data or the machine for three years before replacing them. I now that I can cloud store my data, but every time the drive fails it requires work on the consumer's part (or pay a technician) to fix a faulty part that should, in my opinion, last the lifetime of the machine. I would think that a computer that I use for word processing, email checking and streaming media (no gaming), should survive greater than three years.
