There's this cheap movie theater in my city that I like to go to whenever I can, they play movies that are a little outdated, as in the movies they play often came out like six months ago and are not playing on typical theaters. Movies here are like 5 bucks and the popcorn is great so you can watch a movie and not have to mortgage your house which is a big plus in my book! Anyway, I just like watching whatever is playing when I get there and about two to three months ago I went to see hacksaw ridge. A movie I walked in literally knowing nothing about it. I can honestly say no other movie has been worth the 30 minute drive as much as this one in the last 2 years! I was blown away by how good this was! It had me laughing, crying, smiling at the screen like an idiot gleaming at the charisma of Andrew Garfield and generally just immersed and invested in the story and characters to an extent I haven't been in the last two years. It's honestly sad how easily I could have missed seeing this beautiful movie, kinda makes me sad that great movies like this so often get overlooked by the general public. Anyway, great movie, don't think twice about it if you can see it or better yet, buy it! Immediately after seeing the movie I looked up the blu-ray on amazon and ordered it to show to my friends and family. It's that good! An absolute must see from last year and my personal favorite movie of last year!
