Not sure what the fuss (negative reviews) is all about. For the average person, this product does what it promises, so far (2 weeks of ownership). With an older car that has just an Aux input (no Bluetooth), it lets you use your phone Hands free with Alexa - make calls, send/read out messages and emails, receive directions, play games, request specific music or podcasts. “Hey Siri” does some of these things better, so I tend to use both. Better than just a Bluetooth adapter which at the time of my purchase, was MORE expensive than an Echo Auto. Connecting the first time was a bit involved but took about 15 mins. Now each time I get into the car, it’s a seamless experience - so far, no connectivity issues.
It’s worth what I paid for it, but at full price, maybe not.
