Let me first say that I've only used the laptop for one day, so my review could change after I've spent more time with it. So far, I would like to address some of the negative reviews regarding this computer and counter them with my personal experience. After a thorough inspection of the exterior of the device, there are no blemishes or anything wrong that stands out. Performance is great. The laptop is quick and responsive. WIFI: I tested mine and compared it with my other computer, and this laptop actually performed considerably better in the internet speed test. The pen: yes it has AES and not EMR, which is usually not what would be recommended for hardcore artists. However, I am not an artist and I make use of the touchscreen/pen by switching between writing and typing my notes in my classes. If you are an artist and require the EMR technology, I would recommend looking into the Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel instead. Battery Life: many people have commented poorly on the devices battery life, however I have had no issues. Like any other computer on planet earth, if you have your settings cranked with your screen brightness full, the battery will obviously drain quickly. I adjusted my settings so that the screen brightness isn't too bright and I'm using the more conservative power setting option. With these settings, I can easily get over 10 hours of battery life. Ezel: there's not much to say about the ezel, it functions great and is an awesome feature. I find it much easier to switch between typing and drawing compared to using a Surface Pro or a Surface Book. The screen: very colour accurate and crisp. It's only 1080p at 60Hz, but I wasn't expecting anything above that, so I'm content. The fingerprint sensor is also another small but cool feature on the device. It makes signing in much quicker. All in all, I'm very pleased with this device so far and look forward to using it much more. If you're genuinely interested in purchasing this device and don't need the EMR technology, you won't be disappointed. Maybe I just lucked out, but I would take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. Cheers!
