I loved the early Mad Max movies. Mel Gibson played the lead role perfectly. These movies carried a message about what we're doing to our planet, and explored some of the consequences for the people who survive. Tina Turner was a real treat in Beyond Thunderdome. Fury Road had no discernible message, flat acting (if you can even call it acting) threadbare plot and not a single character I really cared about. Charlize Theron was wasted even though she, at least, seemed to be trying. What Fury Road does have is non-stop action and spectacular stunts. If that's all you expect from a movie, go for it. Otherwise look further! I couldn't watch the last 20 minutes or so, so perhaps it got better at the end???
