About the Author

Aviva Gittle wrote her first song at age seven and first poem at age 11. "Mort the Fly" which she wrote in 2005, was her first self-publishing project in 2013. Since that time, she has published over a dozen children's books, with many more to come. Aviva also hosts The Gittle List, a contest exclusively for indie authors of children's picture books. She now lives in Houston, TX. close to her family, including her two smart, handsome, and talented grandsons, Louis and Vince. (This is a grandmother's completely unbiased assessment.)

Hi, my name is Aviva Gittle and I love to tell stories. Stories about flies who wear shorts, kittens who talk to snakes, and kids who do crazy things. Like turn into a bagel or try to bounce to the moon on a trampoline.

I’d already enjoyed reading about Kitten and Snake, so was looking forward to reading what Kitten would get up to with Squirrel. The wonderful illustrations in this series are amazingly life-like, as well as being incredibly cute! Kitten makes a new friend, Squirrel, in this story. They compare tails and activities, and enjoy a race together. I like that these books also explain the moral of the story at the end. This story is about being better at different things to your friends, but that it’s still always better to do things together.

Another lovely Kitten tale about friendship, and how to be a good friend to others.

UPDATED REVIEW! In my first review I had mentioned that this book was NOT formatted correctly for the Kindle. I am now happy to inform readers that the book has been reformatted and is now VERY readable. Whoo Hoo! If you have not read any of this Kitten series you and your kids are missing out. They are FANTASTIC!

In this book, Kitten meets Squirrel. Both having fluffy tails a conversation soon ensues as to how they both use them. What game can they both enjoy and play together? As well as being amusing, this well-written book is also educational. Learn what squirrels use their tails for. There is a great moral presented at the end also. IMPORTANT to note that in the physical copy of the book there are coloring pages at the end. Naturally these are NOT in the Kindle version so if you have a colorer in your family you may want to consider purchasing a physical copy. It will be worth it as the illustrations are superb. I was not required to write a review but chose to do so. Thanks, Liz

Continuing in her adorable series, Aviva Gittle brings Kitten to life once again, but this time with the company of a squirrel.
The playful dialog and action compares and counters the abilities of these two fuzzy new friends, and the story ends up with a nice lesson for young readers.
Gittle's text seems to flow better with each volume, and Tekla Huszár's illustrations have reached a point of near-photo-realistic finesse in many places.

I love this collaboration and series! Great work, ladies!
