This is the second novel in the How to Be The Best Damn Faery Godmother in the World (Or Die Trying) series and it has gone from strength to strength. Helen harper has a great way with writing funny honest heroines who will make you chuckle as well as make you want to roll up your sleeves next to them to throat punch an idiot. Helen Harper also has a way of writing men like the Devil’s Advocate a man with a smirk in his eye as well as a twinkle, but you can guarantee he would be able to get the knickers off a nun in a heartbeat. This will make you smile, I will make you want to go dig out a pink cape and join the ranks, but mostly it will make you want to go and do some good in the world, even if it’s just a tiny part you can manage. Thank you Helen Harper for making me want to pick myself up and make someone else smile.

I wasn't sure how this would work as a series I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st book and the 2nd did not disappoint. The individual clients are their own stories with the trolls as the long term, a slow burn romance, budding friendships, normal office drama. It is fun interesting escapism. I was even able to turn it into a child friendly story for my daughter when she asked what I was reading. Now we are both looking forward to the next installment x

As always Helen Harper's world building and characters are superb. Saffron is complex, flawed, funny and warm, you root for her from start to finish. The ancillary characters are well fleshed out and add depth. The plot is well paced, and the dialogue often amusing.

I'm now off to read the third in the series, so it's safe to say that I highly recommend this series.
