I ordered and read four speaker books in preparation for launching my own paid speaking career. I'm still in the process of completing that launch.

I have a background that includes website design and online marketing, and I must say that author Kevin Snyder's idea of reaching out to potential clients via trade associations is brilliant. If you can get paid by the association, that's even better, but I wouldn't hesitate to speak to the association for free knowing that I was talking to my future potential hirers.

I just got off a Zoom call with Kevin in which he laid out some of the value he offers in his coaching problem. He also gave me a good tip regarding my own journey to break through. I'm going to follow the tip and see how far it takes me. We've agreed that if I run into a roadblock, I'll reach out to him for some paid coaching assistance.

It contains everything you need to know about crafting a top-notch speech, how to identify target markets, and how to manage contract details.

Kevin breaks down the overall world of professional speaking into bite-size chunks that are understandable and doable. He shares plenty of personal stories, including failures and triumphs, and takes the fear out of every aspect of professional speaking. I highly recommend this book!!

If you want to become a professional speaker or you already are a speaker and wish to up your game, then this is THE book for you. It's actually a workbook and I HIGHLY recommend you not read ahead (we all do it) and follow his advice and complete the "tasks" he assigns before advancing to the next section/chapter. It truly makes a difference. But what i really appreciated about this book (and Kevin) is the business advice given; the How tos. How to write this, how to submit that, how to find conferences, etc. It's like opening a vault. Good luck to all of you aspiring speakers! And thanks again, Kevin!
