Wayne William Snellgrove, Saulteaux Tribe, Fishing Lake First Nation. Indigenous Author, Canadian genocide 60s scoop survivor, 2 x USA Swimming National Champion and USA Swimming National Team member 95’. The only full blood Native American to accomplish this feat.
Wayne William Snellgrove was stolen at birth from his tribe and culture and given to the Canadian foster care system.
32 years later he reunited with his mom.
Wayne has walked the Indigenous spiritual path called the Redroad for over 30 years with his elder Tony StoneHawk.
He is the author of “Daily Medicine” an Indigenous based meditation book.
He is generally know in Swimming circles as the greatest Native American Swimmer ever. With numerous national records to his credit.
