Truly Transformational

I purchased this book as part of a class I am taking and could not have been happier. This book is meant to be used as a workbook which means you won't just rip through it on a plane. You will spend considerable amount of time thinking while you read and long after you have completed the book. Each chapter includes a writing exercise and a movie to watch that will also get you thinking. The outcome of each chapter and the book as a whole is entirely personal so I cannot predict the ways in which you might change the way you think after you have read the book, but rest assured you will be much more self aware and thoughtful about how conduct yourself personally and professionally.

If you are debating between the Field Guide and "Deep Change: Discovering the Leader Within" regular book I would suggest the Field Guide personally. I own both, but the Field Guide is easier to work with and inspired me to answer the questions and do the activities which as opposed to reading without being compelled to think about myself as much.

The Field Guide is not as helpful as the main book. The good part is that it provides a few learning activities and includes discussion guides for movies. These discussion guides, however, seem somewhat forced and aren't all that helpful. The discussion questions at the end of the chapters of the main book provided for much more meaningful discussion with out team than this book did. Save your money and just buy the main book--which is excellent.
