My grandchildren (ages 5 & 7) laughed when they saw the title & wanted to read it right away! They LOVED it! Everyone has a butt, so no big deal...at least they were finding out that books can be a lot of fun. The ending was weird but the kids didn't seem to mind.
I love these books! I bought all of them for my nephew and we laugh constantly while reading (it probably helps that I'm dramatic while reading and get right into character)! They are well written and illustrated and great for those who have a sense of humour.
The basic story still revolves around the farty central character, but runs out of puff about half way through, with an unlikely jump to him no longer being embarrassed by his unruly bottom, but being recruited as a specialist sound effect producer due to the range of bum noises that he is able to conjure up at will- “my bum’s in the movies. I am so PROUD. My bum makes noises, gentle and loud. Just the right noises to go with the story….” All seems a bit unlikely and too rushed an ending - almost as if at the same time as our hero is getting his second wind, the author has run out of hers. Fun story, but not as good as the previous two.
Not a big fan of this series although my 3yo likes them a lot. This one however is terrible, story is not put together very well and confusing for a young child. Perhaps an older child would follow it better but would not recommend it. Not often I leave a bad review but this story justifies it.
Bought to finish the book collection as we have all the previous books to this one. The children absolutely love these books and also made a few adults laugh. Definately worth buying for children 3-8 if you haven't yet read.
