Great book and summary for interview preparation

It covers all the essential topics with a brief summary of the key concepts and a collection of typical questions that we can work on with suggested solutions provided. Surely it cannot cover all the details of every concept due to the length of the book, but it provides the framework indicating the directions where we can fill in the knowledge gap ourselves, instead of spending more efforts figuring out what we are missing. Very helpful for preparing for interviews!

I applaud the authors’ effort in writing this very useful guide to data science interviews, but I must echo the criticism of other reviewers - I spotted a coding error within 10 minutes of reading it. Readers buy the book because they are not yet experts in the topics, and if misled the errors can just make them miss out on their dream jobs. If the authors are serious about helping job candidates, they really need to publish an errata on their website asap.

This would be a great book, were I a fresh grad. As a 30+ year old working parent with years of DS experience, most of the advice does not apply to me.
Nowhere in the description does not say this book is geared for fresh grads. Please add this important piece of information to the description.

Take the 200 questions and the table of content, throw away all the rest

Erroneous definition of p-value, incorrect statement about A/B tests assumptions, equations with typos discrete enough that you'll miss them unless you already know the equation by heart, dead wrong suggestions on how to deal with class imbalance, advice about jobs that only apply to graduates from top-tier universities with FAANG internships... In terms of preparation to DS interviews, the book just fails to deliver.

The two only uses of this book: it lists the most common topics in DS interviews (but DO NOT rely on the book's content, who is choking full with mistakes), and delivers the 201 questions (but let me repeat, DO NOT rely on the answers, some of them are dead wrong). Not worth the 30 bucks, all of that can be found for free online.

EDIT: after posting this review I was successively offered $10, then $20, then $45 to take it down. I'm mentioning this because I wouldn't have purchased the book had I known this is how the authors deal with feedback.

This book is not worth the asking price, nor the time one would spend to go through it. There are a number of issues with the book and it's contents, and potential spoofing of reviews.

- the material they go through is rushed; there are a number of errors in the content, and the answers (and some are just plain wrong)

- the authors seem to emphasize more marketing than anything else (even the reviews on amazon seem to be spoofed - a large majority of the positive reviews have this book as its only review), and many people got the job 2-3 days after the book came out... really?

Perhaps the only thing of value here are the actual questions (many of which you can find on glassdoor or leetcode).

Just read a few random pages but found two typos already: page 277, the last term should be k + m, instead of k + m - 1; page 184, the training time should complexity should be O(nd), instead of O(d). That was so misleading. You can imagine how this would lead to a failure of interview.
