Amazon.com has asked me to review Mr. Christopher Penczak's excellent book;
The Witch's Shield: Protection Magick and Psychic Self-Defense.
So here it is. My words won't come as any surprise to WH followers. This man is an excellent author. He has singlehandedly set me moving forward on my path after almost 18 months of stagnation with his book The Inner Temple of Witchcraft; and this book is also in my collection. I would caution any Witch whether experienced or beginner; not to overlook this man's wisdom; for he has much nor his words; his gift to us.
He has taken many reasonably complex ideologies and techniques and presented them in such a way that even I; the consummate lunkhead; can easily grasp the concepts and put them into practice to astonishing results. One thing I especially enjoy about his work is that he just doesn't focus on technique. He weaves in the mythologies that led to the technique he is presenting, as well as the cords of spirituality that are shot through the web that connects everyone and everything. This is not just a how to; it is a 'why we do', and knowing the why of things is very important in the mastery of any art.
Witchcraft is no exception.
In my opinion any Witch's library that does not contain any Penczak; is simply not complete...
