To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
It's just like how I remember it as a child! Bought for my 5 year old but he was a little rough with the cover as it easily slips off. So I removed it and will add it back when he's older. Love that I got the hardcover.
Not the same Where’s Waldo my kids had. This book has so very many things to find. I asked my daughter if she thought it would be an okay birthday gift for my 3 year old grandson. I didn’t want him to be frustrated. She said to get it because he was bored with his other Where’s Waldo books. He loves it!
Bought this and two other Waldo books for my 7 year old grandson and he loves them! These are the books that he most picks up during his free time! He loves that there are multiple things to look for on each page, and he enjoys the bright, creative pictures. Waldo is a win-win!
I was a bit disappointed with this book. I expected it to be like when I was growing up where when you open it, there’s the clear images of people/objects of what to find. Now it’s a long list of items to find with a few scattered pictures in little frames to also find.
I bought this for age 9-11 and they find it difficult to find what the printed text is saying. It would be nice if they had the example next to the printed text.
Let's begin by a simple disclaimer. I was born when this book series first started and had the distinct pleasure of being able to read it while growing up (I had the red one). This book not only provided long hours of entertainment but also introduced my personal love for history and travel. Viewing the pyramids, seeing the crusades, and much more were incredible; even though much literal history was not present.
Sometime at 12 years old or so, this book became lost and I did not own one again until just this week... at 25 years old. Not surprising it made such an impact that my BA is in Anthropology with a MA to follow! I could sit there for hours viewing the multitudes of small scenes throughout the book. Not only is there a scene on a macro level but also so many interactions occurring on micro levels which is what provides the most excitement for me. The artist spent so much time in providing these points of interest.
Maybe you have never seen the book before or "lost" it for 15 years like myself, this is truly a wonder. Just as exciting as ever and much more exciting than a "word search book." You will not be disappointed. It is vital you obtain a hardcover version though as the paperback can be difficult to open with the crease.
